The Star Man and the Bone Woman

They built their houses on a hill, small round huts made from hardened mud and painted with white and brown clay.

At the top of the hill lived the man who could read the future in the stars.

His house was built a different shape, unlike the round huts of his fellow villagers, his had sharp edges, like a star it seemed. He painted it grey-brown too. It was surrounded by palm trees and you could see the aurora borealis closely from there.

He was an outsider, he never quite fit in with everyone else and yet his presence in the village was generally acknowledged to bring stability and prosperity to the village.

One day a strange woman came to the village, she claimed she could read the future in the bones and they had told her to come to a village built on hill with a star shaped house on top.

Immediately she looked up from the ground, she knew she was in the right place, she took a deep breathe and started climbing uphill. When she got to his house she found the door ajar, she knocked on it and saw the most handsome man ever, he had warm eyes and looked at her with a familiar gaze, he smiled at her and said, “I have been waiting for you for a long time, I saw your face in the nights sky and I knew you would come to me.”
